You have the capacity for a creative, vital life because you are part of one beautiful, loving interconnected universe.

This is how I see it (thanks to insight from many wisdom traditions):

  • We are all part of one interconnected flow that is in constant creative evolution.
  • We suffer, life suffers, when the flow is blocked and connections are broken.
  • When we restore our relatedness and flow, we heal and life flourishes.

You can probably think of ways to apply these principles to household plumbing, emotions, your own healing, relationships, economics, ecosystems….

I love that the universe works this way. I’ve loved the concepts for a long time. As I’ve come to know this wisdom with my whole body and heart, I love it even more.

Restoring our sense of connection with the flow of life is an ongoing process, from discovering a lifeline of energy to being able to creatively contribute to life’s evolution.

Changing how you experience your connection to the earth and the universe changes everything. You can see your life in a whole new way. This change in perspective is the gateway to beginning significant life healing. It is a change that happens in the heart, through practice and with support.

Here are some things that can help:

A Movement Practice. If life is inherently about flow and movement, we need to move too. I teach ways to move that connect body, mind, and spirit. The structured form of a practice creates safety and trains the body to recognize different qualities of the spirit. As you learn to connect with vitality and peace through your body, you are able to bring those qualities into your life and the world.

The movement practices that I offer are rooted in traditions that are thousands of years old. Qigong (pronounced Chee – gong), is a movement and meditation practice which is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Traditional ritual dance from the Balkans, Greece, Asia Minor, and the Romani people has seen people through the cycle of life since Neolithic times.

A Creative Practice. If life is in creative evolution, creativity is part of our nature. Your creativity gives you passion and helps you fall in love, make things, feel connected to everything around you, and be willing to explore. Each encounter with silence, stillness or the blank page is an opportunity to develop your skills for choosing to act from curiosity rather than fear. Strengthening your creative flow unlocks your vitality and ability to heal.

(Sweet secret: the movement practices I teach are also creative practices.)

Meaning & Purpose. So what are you going to do with all this life energy? Honing our sense of purpose is integral to the above practices. Shifting our relationship to the forces that created us also shifts our sense of meaning and purpose.

Support. The heart struggles to learn in isolation. Wisdom Dances practice groups can give you the community and motivation to make a new habit stick. If you want extra support for a complex situation or feel especially vulnerable, I offer one-on-one coaching and healing.

I invite you to pause a moment and take in a breath. Slow and gentle.

All of us move as we breathe. Breathing gives us a primal connection to flow.

I hope that reading the principles behind my work brings you one little step closer to feeling connected, supported, and consciously moving with the flow of life.
